Plastic sawing
Plastic sawing is a machine process whereby material is removed using a saw. We have a great deal of experience in the precision sawing of plastic sheets, tubes and bars.
Plastic sawing: how it works
Sawing is used extensively in the plastic processing industry and is suitable for all types of plastic. This machine process removes material by means of a saw. The type of saw used depends on the material.
For sawing plastic, we make use of an advanced circular saw with electronic measurement settings and special teeth. This allows us to saw virtually any type of plastic sheet for you up to a size of 3000 x 2000 mm and a thickness of 50 mm. Mitre sawing is another possibility: we can saw at any angle from 0° to 45°, and with extreme accuracy, of course (+/- 0.2 mm).
Which materials are suitable?
It is possible to saw all kinds of plastic. We can saw all thermoplastic synthetic materials for you, including:
- Acrylic / PMMA, also known as Plexiglas® and Perspex®
- Polycarbonate (PC), also known as Lexan®
- PETG
- PVC
Machines / equipment
For sawing plastic, we have an advanced circular saw at our disposal, with special teeth and electronic measurement settings. It allows us to accurately saw virtually any plastic sheet to order for you.
Specifications
We can saw plastic sheets up to 3000 x 2000 mm in size and 50 mm thick with precision (+/- 0.2 mm) and at any mitre angle from 0° to 45°.
